As I look back at last week, and flip through pictures, I can’t believe all of that was in just one week! And of course, I don’t capture everything! So today, I’m just going to share the highlights, with pictures.
We celebrated Uganda’s Independence Day by canceling classes, going swimming, watching a movie, and more.
The girls successfully completed completed a very difficult challenge activity: the CrossWalk. Without any member letting go of the cross, they had to get all eight girls and the cross over a rope that was higher than their waists. They could not touch the rope with their bodies or the cross. It took several attempts after encountering some “fouls” along the way, but they did it! All of us staff that witnessed it were so proud of them!
I enjoyed loving on some little boys.
The girls led the chapel time at an elementary school where the children of ABIDE’s administrator attend.

We visited a missionary family who helps with ABIDE, where the girls learned to make no-bake cookies (my favorite!) and watched part of the Tommy Nelson series on Song of Songs.
An ABIDE alumnus stopped by to meet the girls.
We were asked to lead the worship service at a nearby Baptist church.
And so much more!
I love to see the pictures and hear what is happening!

Sounds like some great ministry and time of bonding as a team. But swimming pools? Why hasn’t anyone ever showed me the swimming pools in Uganda? 🙂
